Our take
The Roland DJ-202 is a fantastic entry-level controller. Being USB bus powered means no extra wall wart—just plug and play. The eight pads are great for hot cues and loops, and the sequencer is a fun bonus. Serato DJ Lite is included, but you'll want to upgrade to Pro for full features. At $261.80, it's affordable. However, the build feels plasticky, and there are no phono inputs for turntables. Also, the mic input is only 1/4", so you'll need an adapter for XLR. Overall, great value for starting out.
